Yay! Today is a cause for celebration!
It’s my one hundredth blog post! I can’t believe I finally made it. So many bloggers that I know have long surpassed this milestone, but I try not to compare myself. It’s been a long road and there’s been a lot of of evolution. When I first started blogging, it was meant to complement an Etsy shop that I started with a friend, but I quickly realized that I was spending more time writing and learning about blogging then I was creating inventory for the shop, so the shop went south (although you can find patterns for some of the items I made on my blog) and I decided to give blogging ago for profit.

Did it work?
Well, turns out babies are super demanding, (and sleep depriving) so despite my best intentions, it went to the back burner. It has, however, been a great outlet as the winds of change have shifted our life. Here are some of the wild times we’ve gone through and the posts they’ve inspired:
-
We’ve gone from one baby to two (now a toddler and big kid)
-
We’ve moved, leaving a well-loved home and making a new one in a new town
-
I’ve quit my job but 6+ years in banking will teach you a lot about money management
-
We’ve made some big and small steps towards becoming more green
-
We’ve taken on countless home projects
And of course, I continue to craft as time permits. If you’re interested, my easy-on infant & toddler mittens (free pattern) has had a great response worldwide!
But none of this would be possible without the love, support, and encouragement and inspiration for my friends and family: Ryan, Jodi, Erica, Kate, Sarah, Mom and Dad, and of course, the kiddos. Thank you for your time, patience, feedback, and understanding.
I’d also like to give a shout out to a few of my favorite bloggers who continually inspire me: Erica at The Prepping Wife, Rachel Jepson Wolf at Rachel Wolf Clean, Cat Califf at Califf Creations, Cindy Lauderdale Moore at Cindy Goes Beyond and Journey with Healthy Me, and Lisa at Fluxing Well, who are all paving their own awesome way in the blogging world. Keep up the great work girls!
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions or tips about blogging, I’d love to hear about them below!
