10 Stylish Black & White Art Series to Set the Stage In Your Home

Minimalist or not, there’s something about black & white art that offers a calming effect that we all love. And whether a piece of art itself is busy or simple, it still lends itself to the peacefulness and versatile nature of minimalism.

Personally, we’ve come to love black and white art and have incorporated several series into our home.

We find that the neutral tones shift well between rooms and palettes. Our style is always going to be our style, but our colors may change over time. We’ve also come to love art series as they can be rearranged to fit into different spaces or to include other non-series pieces, like clocks and mirrors.

So if you’re looking for some new art, here are some awesome black & white pieces to consider:

1. Atijart fashion

This simple, sexy line art celebrates the human body and is available for download at super reasonable prices. She also has some pretty rad mid-century and beach pieces, if that’s more your jam.

2. Fomenko art

Lena Fomenko has created some stunning monochromatic floral sets, but I’m IN LOVE with this one of the moon phases. If you’re looking for a gorgeous series, check out her shop!

3. Tangled by Tahnee

This shop states that it’s “for stylish minimalists” and that couldn’t be more accurate. I’d best describe her style as Mary Englebreit meets mandala — so cute but funky! There’s a print for almost every occasion and taste — I’ll definitely be buying the set below for my daughter’s birthday party.

Note: She also sells cards!

4. PinkeeArt

Anyone else love animal butts? Just me? This shop offers a wide variety of animals (both front and backsides 😉 ) as well as some fun, appropriately-themed phrases. Check out this one for a bathroom. This shop would also be great to visit for a nursery or kid’s room!

6. Oliprint

This is not a frameable print or even a series — more like wallpaper, so it will take up some space — but there are some seriously cool monochromatic pieces on this site. Check out the graffiti, the image of Frida Kahlo, the cityscapes! Talk about setting a mood for your room!

Pieces are available in different sizes based on your needs.

7. Scandiant

There are so many ways to use maps as art.

  • Maybe you’re proud of where you’re from or the city in which you live.
  • Maybe you have a wall with photos from a favorite trip.
  • Or maybe you’re from one place, your spouse is from another, and you live somewhere in between.

Whatever your reason for wanting to feature a single spot (or more!), consider one of these gorgeous prints from Scandiant. She offers an incredible variety of places, as well as custom work.

If you live by the beach (or just live for the beach) these sun & sand photos will have you hearing waves. The style of the artist’s photos is light and airy — and if you dig pineapples or palm trees, this shop is a must see!

9. Crayon Stationary

This shop sells numerous styles of digital art including astrological prints, text work, and geometric patterns. Additionally, the artist does custom work, kids art, and has some really cool mid-century pieces. The set below showcases a beautiful combination of line and geometric prints with moderate text art, as well.

The line work is superb and with 15+ black & white pieces to choose from, you could easily outfit any space. A series would be perfect in a creative office or any adventure-loving child’s room.
